Late Figure Review Friday - WWE Deluxe Aggression Mr. McMahon

November 30th, 2007

McMahon HeadshotSorry bout the late update today guys. Been a rough week, many twelve hour days, and came home last night around 9 and straight to sleep. Welcome to any new readers, pleasure that your here and hope I keep you entertained. Well since I took so long lets just get started and get on with the review!

To be frank, wrestling figures suck. Or at least they did. They fell under the same raise foot 90 degrees, rotate arm 360 degrees movement for far too long. Then I like to think Marvel Legends came along, and companies like Jakks realized they could be greedy and not only remake the figures they had been remaking for years again, but remake them as better figures with better articulation and best of all, jack up the price. Which brings us now to Mr. McMahon…

McMahon Kick This figure kicks ass. Literally as you can see. Its got excellent articulation and is apart of WWE’s Deluxe Aggression Series 9. Now the reason I really like the Deluxe Aggression line, sometimes I think more then the Marvel Legends, is that they make sense! For years you could actually make your wrestling toys do what the actual wrestlers on screen do, their bodies just weren’t meant to move that way. But now with this line, pretty much every figure can be posed in one way or another to duplicate the actions of its real life counterpart.

Now I know Vince is buff but I’m not sure if he is this buff, eitherway the sculpt on this figure is good. It reflects that angry, full head of hair having, Mr. McMahon before his recent debacle of having his head shaved. The muscles are sculpted really well, even down to the little veins that can be found on the arms. And the face like I half mentioned, is spot on, Jakks has always done a very good job of making sure their wrestling figures look pretty damn close to their wrestlers.

The upper body has joints in the shoulders for full rotation and posing, the elbow for well, bending there, and the wrist for turning the hand in several was and just bending toward and away from Mr. McMahon. This figure line I buy sporadically, but the legs have taken a big jump as well, now sporting some nice ball joints for the top of the legs, some amazingly awesome knee joints that let you move and bend the wrestlers leg at the top and bottom of the knee, which I wish I got a picture of, and the usual ankle joints of most new figures as well too. Oh and I forgot he also bends of course at the torso, for simple bending over shots and twists at the waist.

McMahon Flex Pose 02 To be honest I am unsure what defines a full point of articulation but for a base example I’d say Mr. McMahon ranks pretty high. There is very little I can’t imagine him being able to do in terms of pose ability, and if this is the future of the series its a definite bright one. Oh and he also comes with an exploding dumb bell, so you can’t beat that.McMahon with Weight

If you like the WWE then go with these. Sure you can get half a dozen other lines put out by Jakks with WWE characters, but lets be honest those toys suck. Yeah they may have the newest wrestling attire, maybe a cooler expression on the characters face, but they suck. Wrestlers are dynamic and so are these figures so pick them.

WWE Deluxe Aggresion figures can be found at Toys R Us, Walmarts, KB Toys and online everywhere.
